‘Quality and vitality of life’ encompasses lots of things that affect an individual’s overall sense of well-being, physical functioning and perception of satisfaction in life.  Meaning, fulfilment, acceptance, contentment, health, happiness, joy, vitality, leisure, energetic, vigour and strength, are some of the important factors that influence an individual’s sense of having ‘quality of life’.

It is a broad concept that includes many subjective evaluations by an individual about both positive and negative aspects of their life.  The judgements an individual makes about the status of their ‘quality and vitality of life’ is subject to constant change and impacted by their individual responses to dynamic life events, including physical, spiritual and social aspects. Without understanding why, at times events in our lives can feel frustrating, overwhelming and overbearing.

Amaranth Foundation therapists are skilled at working with people of all ages in helping them recognize the aspects of their life they would like to improve. Our therapists work with the individual to help them identify and enact appropriate and relevant strategies aimed at enhancing their feelings of satisfaction with those aspects of their life.

Everything that happens is a small part of our journey.
We can choose to be passive or we can be proactive and overcome our fears,
set our own goals and do the best to reach them.
For better or for worse, we always have a choice.
