Our History

Amaranth, founded in 2009, provides a range of services and social impact programs to people living in rural communities throughout southern NSW and NE Victoria. Our Centre in Corowa includes a comprehensive NDIS Program, Aged Care support, Health and Wellbeing Programs and Post hospital support programs. Our Social Impact Programs are expanding to an ever increasing community need and include: Corowa Regional Food Bowl Program in partnership with Wodonga Food Share, Mercy Connect, Corowa Woolworths (Oz Harvest) and Rutherglen IGA; Men’s support groups – Friday Night@The Station; The Men’s Table; Grief and Loss support groups; community-based support for people experiencing disadvantage; Volunteering @Amaranth and generalist (community based) Palliative and End of Life Care.

Amaranth Foundation registered as a National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provider in 2018. Consistent with its vision and purpose, Amaranth’s NDIS Programs include Plan Management, Support Coordination (including specialist support coordination and psychosocial recovery coaching), support services, Therapeutic Supports, Health and Wellbeing programs, Nursing, Wellness Coaching and Mindfulness and Tai Chi programs.
